High Power connectors are primarily used in automotive applications that require high current transmission, such as electric vehicle battery management systems, electric motors, and high-power charging systems. These connectors are typically designed to handle currents up to 100 amps or more and operate reliably in high-temperature and high-vibration environments. For example, TE Connectivity's IPT-HD Power Bolt connector features low contact resistance and high EMC performance, suitable for applications like electric vehicle motor control units and electric axles.

HSD (High Speed Data) connectors are designed for high-speed data transmission and are commonly used in in-car infotainment systems, cameras, and displays. These connectors can support data transmission rates up to 6 GHz and have excellent interference resistance. For instance, Rosenberger's HSD connector system uses shielded twisted pair cables, making it suitable for LVDS cameras, USB connections, and Ethernet applications.

FAKRA connectors are mainly used in vehicle wireless communication systems, such as GPS, GSM, digital broadcasting, and Wi-Fi. These connectors offer high reliability and interference resistance, ensuring stable operation under harsh environmental conditions. FAKRA connectors typically use color-coded plastic housings to distinguish different applications and are designed to support frequencies up to 4 GHz.
